La Roche Posay Effaclar

As I’ve said in a few different blog posts now I have become some what of a skincare crazy lady. If it means I have to get up half an hour early to complete my skincare regime before being booted out the house I will.  I found the Effaclar Duo the beginning of last year and fell in love as mentioned here. But never tried any of the other products by La Roche Posay until late last year. When I picked up this amazing set. I was running out of my ever so loved Effaclar Duo, when hunting it down I saw this pick containing it, so I gave it a go.

IMG_0774The first item is the La Roche Posay Effaclar Cleanser. This bottle of face wash has been everything and more to me. As ive said in the past my oily skin really started to get too me. Everything I was using would either slip off my face or would bring out the oil more and more. Now I use this every morning see here. It is a purifying foaming gel for oily sensitive skin, which my skin ticks both of those boxes. Having both oily and sensitive skin is something. I can go days without getting redness then BAM, I look like Ive been fried! The combination does not go well, let me tell you. The cleanser is soap free, I used to use a soap on my face as my daily wash and found it irritated my skin.  Its a god send that this is soap free. For me anyway. It claims to eliminate impurities and excess sebum (oil),  leaving the skin clear and refreshed. I can honestly say after using this on a morning I feel like I have a new batch of skin! TMI but youve got to know the truth! It is also Colorant free, Alcohol free and Paraben free for any of you who’s skin doesnt react well with those things, this is one for you!

IMG_0775The set also contains a  La Roche Posay Effaclar Toner, this is something I didnt know much about until I read up on this one. I dab a few drops onto a cotton pad and gently wipe it around my face. This helps to pores appear smaller and also helps to tone the skin. This is used after I wash my face morning and night. It claims to mattify skin and tightens pore. Which I can certainly agree with, from the day I started using I started to notice more and more effects. I can now say that my pores, which where once quite large, have reduced by half in size. One of the many reasons why I love this product. If you are worried about having acne prone skin and using this product, dont be put off. It has been tested on acne prone skin and doesnt lead to any irritation or aggravation. Since getting this product in November I have used it twice a day and still have at least half the product left!

Last in the set is the Effaclar Duo +. I was a little apprehensive about getting the + as I am use to using the normal Effclar Duo and didnt want it to be any different. I can honestly say I didnt see much of a difference. I use this on a night time, I apply a small amount to the whole of my face. It helps to keep spots at bay, when they do come it helps to get rid of them quickly. I will say if you have any open spots be carefull when applying this cream, as a girl with experiences it stings like mad! This product claims too correct the appearance of imperfections. Again another product of theirs which actually does what it claims. Wahoo for true claiming products. This seems to have also helped to keep my oily skin a little less oily during the night.

Have you tired any La Roche Posay products? What is your favourite skincare brand? Let me know
