Christmas Gift Guide: Beauty edit

This years Christmas make-up releases have pleased me very much. My list this year seems to be full of limited edition picks that I honestly can’t stop drooling over. Some I fear are selling out fast, which makes me feels like I want to jump onto the house of fraser website and order everything I want. Just stick it all on the credit card and hope the bill never comes in. I know I would only regret that and for some of you who don’t love make-up as much as some are probably thinking, it’s only make-up. You can probably get the same colour in a different brand for half the price.  But the packaging is sometimes what makes me want it that little bit more.

Mac always seem to come out with an amazing holiday line. This year the title being Magic of the night. With the items really looking truly magical. The colour theme they have gone with is blacks, purples and blues. I’ve noticed a lot of this blue colour around so far this year, which for me isn’t really a christmassy colour. But I see what MAC have done with theres. Some of my favorite gift sets are the irresistibly charming pigment set in the shade Gold or Purple. My eyes turn too gooey hearts when I look at these. These cost £26 which to be honest I dont think is too bad for four pigments, yes they will be small pots but you really don’t use a lot of pigment at a time. Unless like me you end up knocking over the pot losing half all over your cream carpet. Yes I stand guilty to that one. Next up is the Enchanted Eve Lip and Eye bag, this contains a Lipgloss and Lipstick. An eye shadow palette and an eye liner, it is a pink themed bag so make sure you know either yourself or the person your getting this for does tend to wear pinks. This retails as £45 which is a little more on the expensive side but it is so worth it. Just look at it! My last pick from the Mac collection is the Enchanted Eve Face Set which costs £42, this is a gorgeous palette with a mix of eye, lip and face colours. Perfect to throw in your handbag for an easy day to-night look.

This year Nars have their Stevn Klein collection, to be honest I’m not sure if this is specific for the holiday or just a collection that they have brought out. But it is amazing. My first pick has to be the Steven Klein Despair Cheek palette. This has 4 blush shades all in the pinky, purple tones and a travel size Ita Kabuki which is just insane! Not to mention the packaging, can we take a moment to appreciate the beauty please. One more, there we are. Just add it to the top of your list now, for £45 this little beauty could be yours. Next is the Dead of Summer eye shadow palette for £29. Again with the amazing packaging but when you open up you get four amazing shadows, all in dual intensity finish. This would make a great christmas present this year. Last from Nars is the Steven Klein Humoresque, which is a oustounding £130 but you do get 5 lipsticks in, so for any lipstick junkies it’s a must have really.

Christmas in Paris from Too Faced, what a gorgeous, cutesy gift set. I love how girly and cute these sets are and a little more affordable. First is the Le Grand Chateau, which has its packaging shaped as a house! Cute! Inside is three separate palettes including 12 shadows, two blushes, one bronzer and a mini of the Better Than Sex Mascara. Amazing right, and all for £35 I think that is such a good price for such a great gift. Next is the French Kisses Melted Lipstick collection which has four of their Melted Lipsticks in for £18. Can we just take a moment too take in the names of all these gifts, too cute. Lastly it had to be the mini Better Than Sex mascara Ornament, which such a great little extra for any christmas gifts you have put together at a small price of £9.

I feel this is something I have to talk about. You have probably heard about it already, if not where have you been. Estee Lauder have a huge gift set on an amazing offer. Basically the gift set is worth £294 which you can actually just buy it for that amount. But if you buy selected Estee Lauder fragrances you can pick it up for £54!
