Looking After You. Pukka Health

Its true what they say that you have to look after the inside to really show your true beauty. I’ve told myself I’ve had enough burgers and nachos to last me a life time AND it’s about time I start to look after the inner me. As I was telling myself all of this an email popped up from Pukka health.

It was a sign.

The little voice in my head was really calling to me. I do make myself laugh.

The lovely lady from Pukka was teaching me all about learning to love the inner you to allow your outer you glow and look your absolute best. One thing that was in the email really stuck with me.

‘Healthy, vibrant skin comes from a healthy body filled with healthy foods’

We use all these different products on our skin every single day. Buying and trying new products to try and allow our skin to be the best it can be. We are constantly adding new things and taking new things away. Moaning about the skin we live in. But have we ever stopped to think about the things we are putting into our body which is controlling our skins health. I don’t know about you but when I’m feeling down about my skin. One of the first things I tend to do is comfort eat. Chocolate, crisps, nachos, burgers, you name it i’ve probably eaten it. I don’t know why I had never really put much thought into it before. What we fill out bodies up with reflects in the way our skin looks.

I’ve heard so much about the health benefits of turmeric, although I’m going to be real with you, that shit tastes nasty. I applaud any of you who actually enjoy drinking it. Cause that ain’t for me. All being said, lets fill our bodies with the good. Rather than trying to get turmeric into your diet by eating it, you can get Turmeric lifekind supplements from Pukka which are pack full of organic herbs, obvs including turmeric.

How many times can a girl say turmeric in one post, you tell me!

Turmeric is known as ‘the golden goddess’ in India due to its beautifying properties. If that’s what it gets called, get it all to me! It helps to support a healthy liver function which clears away any toxins which can cause breakouts and unwanted skin troubles. Removing these toxins helps to promote radiant and glowing skin, which we all want, isn’t that why we buy so much highlighter. I’m far too excited to start taking these supplements, make sure your following me on Instagram because I’ll be updating you all over on there how I find them.

As well as helping your skin glow from the inside- out, I also think it is super important to keep your skin fully hydrated. I have only recently realised how dry my skin is on my arms and legs but using a thick cream everyday is just not cutting it. This girl is seriously dry. I found myself wearing long trousers and tops or covering up with a coat because I hated the look of my arms and legs. I felt like they looked old and haggard and in need of a good boost. When I read about the Pukka Organic Cold-pressed Castor Oil I was super excited to give it a try.

The castor oil is high in vitamin E and contains unsaturated fatty acids like omega 6 which helps to stimulate blood circulation on the skin surface. It also helps to stimulate collagen and elastin, which can soften and hydrate skin. After reading all about, I was all ‘damn girl’ I gotta get this in my life. I’ve been using the castor oil on my legs and arms every other day once I am out the shower and can honestly say it has made a huge difference. Enough for even Alex to say, ‘my gosh your arms feel so smooth’. I couldn’t recommend using an oil on your skin enough if you are suffering from dehydrated skin

Take the challenge with me and start to look after the inner you.

My Dad swears by Tumeric but I can’t get passed the taste! I’m intrigued by Castor Oil though, never knew it had those benefits x
