MORNING SKINCARE ROUTINE: SUMMER EDITION

SONY DSC

Looking after my skin is important to me, I like to make sure that all the dirt and grime from the day is taken off from the day before I go to sleep. I’m as obsessed with looking after my skin when I wake up on a morning, maybe its got something to do with the amount of make-up products I like to put on my face. Woops.

SONY DSCTo get rid of the dirt that has built up on my face during the night I use the Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean cleanser, which smells heavenly! Its a pretty simple cleanser which makes my face feel clean. I use around 2 pumps of this on my hand and rub it into my face and then use a face cloth to scrub into the places that I might not have if I only used my hands.

SONY DSCOnce my face is dry I use these Clearasil Superfruits Refeshing Pads, i’m sensing a theme of fruits in my morning skincare routine! I think this will change once we get into the darker and colder months. I use these to exfoliate and hope that they will keep away the nasty little pesks that are spots. I’ve really been loving these lately and will definitly be on the look out for others like this.

SONY DSCTo sooth my skin after using the more harsher products I like to use the Simple Kind to Skin Facial Toner which settles down my skin and preps my skin ready for my make-up. I pour a small amount on some cotton wool and rub it round my face.

SONY DSCIf im feeling slightly tired I rub on this Garnier Roll on which has caffine in it to make me look a little more awake! ( This is more of a regular thing than not, my bad). The cool ball really wakes me up and I feel ready for the day.

SONY DSCHydraluron is my next step which puts all the moisture back into my skin, without this I would suffer from dry patches on my skin which doesn’t look good when applying foundation. I rub around 2 pea sizes round my face, then im ready to moisturize.

SONY DSCLately I have been using the Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser which is doing wonders for my skin. I dab this around my face and then rub it in till my face feels lovely and smooth.

SONY DSCTo prep my lips I apply the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Lip Cream, which is thick and cures my cracked lips, creating a base for my lipstick.
