REVIEW: Too Faced Born This Way

Born This Way Review Too Faced ReviewI’m back with some more beauty goodies today. The past couple of weeks I have been obsessed with getting my hands on new thing and trying out different looks with my make-up. With the winter months on there way, of course I get a little more ghostly and the already pale foundation in my draw ends up being a little too dark for my pale skin. An excuse to buy new foundation? It think so. I was finding it so hard to decide on which one too get, after loving the Urban Decay Naked concealer I so nearly bought there foundation. But then I also loved my Mac foundation so should I get that one? Then I remembered a foundation that everyone seemed to be talking about. And that’s when the Too Faced Born This Way foundation was added to my basket.

This foundation claims too be an undetectable medium-to-full coverage, free from oil. I have to agree that I couldn’t really feel as much oil in the foundation as I have with others. Having a super oily T zone some foundation can make my skin look shiny. However this one glided on a treat and didn’t create any more oil than I already had. I would say this is a medium coverage foundation, meaning I had to cover blemishes with concealer. However I still cover them when I use a full coverage foundation so for me that didn’t really matter too much. The foundation is infused with coconut water which is suppose to replenish the skins moisture levels. Alpine Rose which claims to brighten skins appearance and promote elasticity and also hyaluronic acid which is suppose to create a smoother, youthful appearance. I’m hoping that at the age of 20 I don’t really need something to make me look younger but I’m all for keeping my skin looking young for when I do start to get those dreaded age lines.

The foundation applies seamlessly which for me is something that I really look for in a foundation. I use a dense brush too apply this, then once I have applied my concealer I use my beauty blender too smooth everything together. I then use a powder over the top and these seals it all in place. The first day I used this I kept an eye on it through out the day to see how it lasted.  It did pretty well in my eyes, it lasted strong until around lunch time then I just needed too do a little touching up but that mat have been more due to my seriously oil skin.

The last thing I loved about this foundation is the cute bottle, the black lid makes it seamless. Whilst the gold finishing touches makes it seem that little more luxurious. One thing I haven’t talked abut yet is the price, £28 for a normal size bottle. For me this a good price for an amazing foundation, I’m not going to lie its not the foundation I use everyday for work but tend to keep them it for my days off or nights out.

I suffer from oily skin, particularly my T-Zone and have heard nothing but great things about this. Have tried NARS which seems to be working good for me right now but so tempted to try this 🙂 great review!
