If you have been reading CharlotteSamantha long you will know I’m a hella organised gal. This covers everything and anything, if I can organise it I’ll gonna do it. Christmas means the most organising you can ever do. Which makes me a little too happy. If I’m totally truthful with you, then I would tell you that I have been planning this Christmas since July. Yup, that’s right July. I want this Christmas to be a little different. When your younger, Christmas is all about the presents. We may say it’s not but if we were totally truthful the reason we can’t sleep on Christmas Eve is because we know there is going to be presents waiting for us in the morning. I don’t sleep on Christmas Eve because I know I am going to be eating the biggest Christmas Dinner ever. But if you aren’t organised chances are, half the things you had planned in your mind probably won’t happen. You can think about all the things ever but they won’t happen unless you plan. Unless of course you are some kind of genius, if you are please let me know your tricks.
To start your going to need Lists, and lots of them. When I first start to think about Christmas I like to make lots and lots of lists. Think about the things you want to do, what you need to buy as well as the gifts you need to buy. Write it all down, because if you don’t you are bound to be sat one day kicking yourself because you can’t remember what that one thing you said you where going to buy that person. But if you’ve got it written down think about how much easier your life is going to be.
When it comes to shopping you need to know where to shop. Have a little look about, I’m one of those super annoying people who will shop at all the shops until I find it at it’s cheapest or in the best deal possible. I mean if we can save money or get more for our money then are you going to say no? I am certainly not.
But don’t just make those lists actually get them done. So if that perfume set your mum wanted goes on sale buy it, get it wrapped and put under your tree on December the 1st. That’s one thing ticked off the list and one less thing to think about. If you said you wanted to head to your local ice rink with your old pal, set the date and write it down in your diary that way you’ll never forget.
My most important tip is to start now. I know this post should have probably been a month earlier, but working in retail has made me realise that there are a lot of people who actually haven’t even started to think about Christmas. If this is you don’t panic just follow my few tips and you’ll be under way in now time!

8 years agoGreat tips, lists are such a great way to get stuff done. It is so satisfying when you cross things out, thanks for sharing. I’m not very organised at all so writing everything down really helps me plan and use my time effectively. Brilliant post x
