Ramside Spa Break

Whenever I think of a break away I always think you have to get in the car and travel a fair few hours. But thats honestly not true. I live 20 minutes from the Ramside Spa and Hotel and was very luckily treat to some vouchers as a joint Christmas present from the in laws. We managed to find a deal where you got an over night stay, access to the spa and a treatment each along with an evening meal and breakfast. We got all of this for £280, which does sound like a lot but this hotel and spa is beaut. Maybe one of the best I have ever stayed in and sometimes you’ve just got to treat yourself.

The deal we booked was called Stay Sunday Spa Monday, we arrived at 3pm on the Sunday checked in and headed straight for our room. The room was stunning, we had a view of the golf course, located on the ground floor which meant we could up the patio doors and sit outside in the sun. The room consisted of a huuuuge bed, tv with sky sports (much to Alexs excitement) A mini bar and bottle of wine, with prices clearly marked. Lets just say we stayed clear of those. The bathroom was by far my favourite part.

The bathroom had a huge waterfall shower, which was honestly the best shower I have ever had. It also had a stand alone bath which was solo deep, Alex ran himself a nice hot bubble bath whilst I took a shower, time was no in my favour. It also had a huge mirror which was perfect for getting ready in, although there was a dressing table in the main part of the room. I can honestly say the room was super clean, comfortable and I would 100% stay here again. If you love the look of this room, have a look at their celebration room! This looks incredible, if I ever get the chance I would love to try out this room. BEAUTIFUL.

The spa, was amazing. There is one pool which you can swim in if you want, or just lay round the outside of the pool on the loungers which are extremely comfortable. Oh you are also given flip flops, towels and a robe to use whilst your in the spa area, this is such a perk of helping you feel relaxed whilst your in the spa. There is also butlers walking round the pool area who are able to get you drinks for around the pool rather than having to get changed to go round to the bar. There is also a jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, hydro pool and a jacuzzi pool outside. There is definitely something for everyone. We spent Sunday afternoon around the pool before our meal. On Monday we where booked in for a back, neck and shoulder massage. I must admit I was feeling pretty apprehensive about the massage as I’d never had one before. But Jasmine was lovely and really worked on the problem areas I told her I had. I felt super relaxed after the massage and was then taken into the sleep sanctuary which is as it sounds. A dark room with lots of massage chairs, towels and water. If you are going with a group or a partner this is where you get to meet them after your treatments. I have made the decision that I want to save up some of my spare money to be able to go back for a facial.

Now onto the food. We decided to head to the fusion restaurant for our evening meal, with the package we where given £25 each to spend on our meal. We really struggled picking as the choice of food was so good. We finally decided, I went for chicken wings for started and fillet beef in black bean for mains, Alex went for calamari and lamb masaman curry for his main. The food was to die for! For breakfast we where booked in for the spa brunch which consisted of a three course breakfast. I know, amazing right? We started with a fruit platter, then moved onto a pastry and then onto the main breakfast. I went for the waffles and of course Alex went for the full english.

We had the most amazing time and will 100% think about going back to the Ramside in the future.
