Weekend Away #2

On our second day we decided to wake up nice and early, head down to breakfast and then go for a long walk around the grounds (I know I sound like im getting old but there’s nothing more relaxing than being able to breathe in the fresh air of the country side). This of course, as always didn’t go to plan and instead we woke up at 10:30, headed straight down for breakfast and took a slightly shorter walk.

We took a little trip into Hexham town centre to have a little look around and grab some lunch. The drive into the town was amazing! The views and houses where something else! Once we arrived into the town we found a cute little cafe and stopped for a bite of lunch and a cup of tea, of course I went with a Christmas flavored tea which was amazing! When we came out of the cute little cafe we headed to the local market, which was filled with yummy cheeses, meats and other amazing smelling things. The one stall that caught my attention was a little soap stall which sold organically made soap. They all smelt amazing and so we bought a few different soaps to give to people with their Christmas present, who doesn’t like soap right?!

We headed back to the hotel, with a coffee in hand of course and headed down to the spa, spent a few hours relaxing by the pool and using all the facilities available! Rather than spending our second night in the hotel we decided to go for a pub dinner in this little pub in Slaley Village which was gorgeous, then spent our night in the hotel room watching a movie and sipping on baileys! I didnt get many photos of this weekend, purley because it was a relaxing weekend away for my boyfriend and I so I didnt want to be swamping him with photos.
