Beauty // Go To Make-up For Autumn

go-to-make-up

As I am sure you are well aware, I’m the kinda girl who gets into a trend with make-up and wears the same thing day in day out. It sorta becomes a habit picking out the same foundation, mascara etcetc. When really I should be mixing it because I love make-up so much, but I just can’t seem to get into the groove of picking out different things everyday. Maybe one day. I haven’t really done one of these posts where I show you the item’s I have been reaching for, I normally just add them into my monthly favourites but I thought it would be nice to shake things up a little round here. Am I the only person who sings “Sh-Shake it, Sh-Shake it” in their head when they hear the word shake. Yes? No takers, so I really am that different. wow

Once the usual daily task of washing my face, serum, moisturiser is finished I start with my primer, to be honest I have been mixing this one up a little at the moment because I just can’t seem to find one that I like but if you have any suggestions please let me know! Foundation however I have been picking out this little beauty which is the Too Faced Born This Way in Ivory. With the sudden change in weather and feeling the need to have something that isn’t going to be blown off my face on my walk to work, I have been wanting a more full coverage foundation. This foundation applies amazingly to the skin, is super blendable and one thing I have found with this foundation that I love is that it doesn’t crease. I can come home at the end of my shift and find my foundation in the same place that I applied it that morning. The only thing I would say is that it sticks to my dry patches of skin. But to be honest my foundation normally does around this time of year because of the change in temperature etc. I have been loving highlighting my under eye bags with the Kat Von D Lock It concealer in neutral. Now that Kat Von D is available in the Uk I think you all need to grab this while you can. This stuff works like a dream. I apply it in the usual V under the eye and it stays put all day. And I mean all day. No smudging, no creasing, no nothing. Just perfect. Since I’m not a touch up my make-up throughout the day type, I need something that won’t budge.

Moving to the eyes I recently got the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Muse eye-shadow palette which I have been raving about far too much. I just love the copper/ rose gold shades the palette comes with. Lets face it anything in this tone makes blue eyes pop, I’m all about that. I use the light copper shade all over the lid and then add the darker rose gold shade through the crease. Add my Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and I am pretty much good to go in the eye department. Of course the brows get tamed but to be honest I haven’t been sticking to the same product everyday. It really depends A) what time I have and b) what I am in the mood to do. Because sometimes these brows can take a while, so they only get a small coating of brow gel to stick them down a little.

Back to the face and I have been reaching for my Benefit Hoola, this is a product that I seem to have a love hate relationship with. One minute I am all over it, the next I look like I’ve took some mud from the garden and drawn a stripe down my face. At the moment though he is my love.”he” as if it is a human. Moving on. For blush I have been obsessed with the Milani Berry Amore, this has been on my face since I got back from New York 1 month ago. I’m not kidding. This stuff is just too beautiful, I kinda wish I’d picked up more of these. I may have to go on an online shopping hunt for some more. I couldn’t forget the highlight could I? I have gone back to an oldie for this one, which is the Mary Lou Manizer, this stuff is like gold. Literally, you only need the smallest amount and you look like a fairy has flown past with her bag of magic powder. Yes I do still believe in fairy’s, if you don’t are you even real? I finish the look off with my Mac lipstick in the shade Rebel, the most perfect autumn shade of all time. While we are talking about Mac lipsticks have you entered my giveaway where you could win a mac lipstick of your choice?!

Until next time,

Ahh I am still dying to try the two faced foundation and mascara – they both have amazing names and of course the product sounds so good! Especially as you say when you get into the wintery months you want more of a hold on your foundation. Think I’m going to have to give it a try asap! x

I’ve heard so much about Rebel but never actually tried it, it looks so stunning on everyone else though! Such a sucker for autumnal makeup.
