Nars Base

When I finally made it into the Nars department in Selfridges it was no surprise what I was going to pick up, after months of uming and aring about if I really wanted the foundation I finally took the plunge and walked out of Selfridges a very happy lady. Not only did I pick up the foundation that I have been after for months but I also got myself the concealer to go with it. Another product that I have heard great things about from Nars. Although I am sure most of you know which foundation I am talking about it is the Nars Sheer Glow, I got mine in Medium 2 Santa Fe and I also picked up the Radiant Creamy Concealer in Medium 1 Custard. I have been looking at these for well over a year now testing them on my skin etc and was still unsure if I really wanted it but here I am sat today, with this amazing foundation in front of my loving life. Okay I took it a little bit too far there, but it is seriously good!

Lets start with the foundation, the main star of the show. At the price of £31 its not the cheapest but certainly not the most expensive when it comes to foundation, but I suppose it totally depends what you are looking for in a foundation. This foundation claims too be a Silky fluid delivering immediate hydration, evening the skin tone and leaving the skin looking brighter and more radiant. Providing weightless and build able coverage. I most certainly agree with all it says it is meant to be and I can honestly say I feel so good when wearing this foundation. I never though I would be the kind of girl who would love how the foundation made me feel, I was always more of a mascara junky but this has changed me. If only I knew this last year when I was lusting over it. It has such a lightweight feeling to the foundation but is super high coverage, I would feel comfortable leaving the house with just this on and no concealer. Which is something that I thought I would never be able to do. If you not a high coverage kind of gal then this one is probably not for you. I have been loving applying this with my beauty blender which gives it a great even look.

Not to forget the Radiant Creamy Concealer, this is super creamy as it suggests in the title and acts great as a highlighter for under the eyes. I like to blend this in with my finger creating an amazing brightener without looking too fake. Of course this is amazing on areas of your face that you are maybe not fully confident with and want to cover, imperfections and what not. The longevity is amazing too, I have found no smudging or feel as though it is falling off. I think I may need to purchase this in the lighter shade for when I am wanting to look a little more brighter, which is usually for when I am going outout. This concealer is £22 not the cheapest concealer but it is certainly a goodun.

The only thing I have to say about this concealer and the foundation is the packaging, the matte handle on the concealer and the matte finish to the lid of the foundation is not for me. If you get foundation on your hand or if you have been blending out your concealer and then touch the matte finish it leaves grubby marks which are impossible to remove. It is one massive pet hate for me, I like my make-up to be left looking new and fresh. Have you tried this foundation what do you think? Are there any others that you think ill enjoy?
