Entering 2016 // Make-Up Edit

IMG_3949 IMG_3951

Since the start of 2016, all two weeks of it, I have been going for the same make-up look each day. It’s a kind of no-make-up look, which to be honest isn’t something I would normally go for. But each day I have been putting the same stuff on my face and coming out with pretty much the exact same look. For someone who said they wanted to change-up what they did with their make-up day in day out in 2016, I’m not doing too well. There is time yet though, right?

IMG_3954 IMG_3957It comes as no surprise that I am using one of my favourite foundation’s recently which is the Too Faced Born This Way in the shade Ivory, I love how full coverage this foundation is and it really stays on all day. I have pretty oily skin and I have found that this keeps my skin looking dewy but not too shiny. You can find a full review here. I then go in with my LA Girl Pro Concealer to cover any imperfections or dark spots around my face, I’ve started blending this in with my beauty blender and have really found a new love for the little sponge. Too brighten up my dull under eyes I pop on some of the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer in the shade Fair Neutral. There is no surprise here as I have been using this far too much since I got this into my collection. I set this all in place with the Mac Studio Careblend Pressed powder in Light. This is one of the best powders I have ever used. I’m normally a drugstore powder kind of guy but recently I have started to invest a little more into my powders and have noticed such a difference. To keep this looking flawless all day I spray my face with some of the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray.

IMG_3962 IMG_3963Moving onto my eyes I pop on some of the Mac Paint Pot in Painterly this keeps my eyes from getting super oily and keeps anything on my eyes actually on my eyes rather than falling half way down my face. Next it comes to my all time favourite Mac Palette taking the shades Warm Breeze, Butterfudge and Divine Decadene. Creating a warm smoky eye look. It may come as a shock to you to say that I haven’t been wearing eyeliner on every day which was something I would always do before I leave the house but I have got myself into a little habit of popping on a colour to my eye lid. The mascara I have been using at the moment is the YSL Volume Effect Mascara, this little beauty is my baby right now, I would be completely lost without it. To tame those brows I brush the L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper just to add a little bit of colour and keep them down a little more.

IMG_3958Now to make my face to look a little more toned, add a little colour and look a little more made up. The first thing I do is contour my cheeks adding the Nars Lagun Bronzer. Then on top I pop on the Bobbi Brown blush in the shade Nectar which is a dull purple, pink shade. This look super natural and amazing!! I then pop on the smallest amount of highlighter on the top of my cheekbones, not enough to make it look fake but just enough to give the shimmer I need. Using the Mac Soft and Gentle Minerlised Skin Finish.

For the lip I have three that are pretty much the same, I know what you’re thinking when you look at them but they look different on the lips. I promise, ok! The first is Mac’s Syrup lipstick which has been a favourite of mine for a couple of years now. OR there is Macs Soft Saviour which is a little more of a pinky toned lipstick or if I am feeling like I want to pop on some gloss I will go for the Macs Creme Anglaise which is a pinky purple toned lip gloss.
