Collection #facetheday palette 4

I was strolling around Boots the other day, with nothing much to do on my break from work. Do you ever do that? Just walk aimlessly round shops because you have nothing else to do, then you end up spotting so much that you want. I ended up spotting this Collection palette with the #facetheday. I loved how it had so many different kinds of shades in it ranging from eyeshadows to a blusher to bronzer and even a highlighter. And many of you may know how much I am loving my highlighters at the moment. And this little beauty only cost me £3.99 as all Collection cosmetics had an offer on for all there cosmetics under £4 which is crazy!! It normally retails at £6.99 which I still think is pretty reasonable for a palette.

That palette itself isn’t in the greatest of packaging but nevertheless its still okay. One thing I wish i could change about the palette is to include a mirror in the other side, which would make it amazing for on the go. Instead it has a clear plastic front, with a matte black finish and the hashtag #facetheday in an almost copper/orange shade. Once your in the palette you have a big highlighter on the far left, this is a very pale neutral toned highlighter. When I first used it I was a little disappointed but I found if you dab this on with a dense brush the colour pay off is a lot more vibrant. Its still not as bright as Macs Soft and Gentle but it is gorgeous for a natural makeup day. You then have a blusher at the bottom left, this is a gorgeous colour for spring. It reminds me almost of Nars Orgasm as it has a sort of gold fleck running through it. This is super pigmented, so can be built up for a bold look or applied lightly for a more natural look. You also have a bronzer, this is the only matte shade in the palette. This is an amazing contour shade, its not too dark or orange and goes amazingly with the highlighter. Then you have four eye shadows which all have a shimmer finish to them. The three I have been reaching for most days is the two right next to the highlighter and the one next to the bronzer. I use the lightest as an inner corner and under brow highlight, I shade the golden colour all over the lid and then use the darker in the outer corner building it close to the inner. I have been absolutely loving this look and the colours stay on my eyes all day. I was quite surprised how much I loved these eyeshadows as I dont normally go for a shimmer shade. But they have amazing lasting power and the colour pay off is crazy for the price. I am so looking forward to getting my hands on some of their other palettes.
